About Bievo

Who is Bievo?

Bievo was created by busy parents in search of an easier way to organize their family lives.

We were tired of spending valuable family time managing multiple schedules and calendars. From youth sports, to music lessons and dance classes to business travel, our calendars were impossible to keep up-to-date. Everyone’s activities and events had to be manually entered and maintained. It was a never ending process and every family we knew was struggling too. There had to be a better way and we set out to design it.

We started with a shared family calendar, and made it easy to access from your desktop and your mobile devices. And then we took organizing to the next level. We built an app the that allows you to sync with and connect to external calendars and schedules, posted by the schools, teams, clubs and organizations that keep your family busy. With Bievo, you can truly bring every event, appointment, class, practice, game and activity into one centralized, color-coded view, across your family’s desktop and mobile devices.

How do busy families use Bievo?

Screenshot - Calendar_iphone6_silver_portraitBusy families use Bievo to stay organized.  Bievo Calendar lets everyone’s separate calendars be integrated into one, color coded view so you can easily identify what events are happening each day.  School, extra curricular activities, work schedules and social events can all be easily entered, assigned to an individual family member or the whole family, so that there is a complete picture of the schedule.  Integrate existing Google calendars, Apple calendars, Outlook into the Bievo family calendar.  Connect outside calendar feeds from sports teams and groups and Bievo will automatically keep them sync’d.

In addition to events, Bievo let’s families assign and share tasks so that everyone can pitch-in.  Bievo sends notifications by text or email so events and task aren’t missed.

Families can use the Information feature to save important data like medical, school and insurance information so that it can be accessible to each family member as needed.  Great for college students living away from home!
coparent-illustrationBlended families can use Bievo’s unique permission feature so that certain information is shared, but other information is kept private.   A parent can make select information relative to a child in a shared custody arrangement, for example, available to the other parent, while keeping non-pertinent information private.

Similarly, Bievo permissions can give Caregivers and extended family access to select information.  A child’s schedule and their stored  medical information, for example, could be shared with a babysitter, without giving access or view to Mom’s work schedule.

What is Bievo's policy on in-app advertising?

Bievo has a NO ADVERTISING policy.  There are no pop-ups to prevent you from seeing your information and easily using the product. While some products require you to pay to get rid of advertising, Bievo, both free and premium versions, is Ad-Free making it distraction-free and safe for your children to use.

Is Bievo safe for my children?

Yes!  You tailor the access for your child so you can determine what amount of information is seen. Bievo can empower your child to take charge of his/her schedule, help with assigned household tasks, even participate in organizing the shopping.  Bievo sends notifications about events and tasks so your child can learn important time management skills, taking the burden off Mom and Dad. And of course, Bievo is advertising-free so you needn’t worry about inappropriate content popping up on your child’s screen.

On what platforms and devices can I use Bievo?

Bievo works on all browser-based platforms and iOS and Android.  You can use Bievo at home on your desktop, on your laptop at work and on-the-go on your phone!

How do I change my password?

There are a couple of ways to change the password for your Bievo account.

From the mobile app

  1. Enter your login email address
  2. Click Forgot Password just below the Password entry field and Bievo will send you an email with instructions for resetting your password

From a web browser

If you have forgotten your password, Bievo will send you instructions for resetting it.

  1. Go to www.mybievo.com.
  2. Click Sign In at the top of the screen.
  3. On the Sign In screen, click Forgot Password.
  4. Enter the email address for your account, then click Reset Password. Bievo will send you an email with instructions for resetting your password.

If you want to change your password follow the directions below.

  1. password-reset-desktopClick the Settings Menu icon to the right of your email address at the top of the screen. This will display a drop down menu with several options on it.
  2. Click Account Settings to open your Settings screen.
  3. Click Password to open the Change Password screen.
  4. Enter your old password, your new password, and verify your new password. Then click Change Password to save your new password.
Does each family members need an email account?

No. For family members who do not have an email, Bievo creates a Bievo-specific account for that family member.  Simply select Add Family Member and key in the family member’s profile information and save. Bievo takes care of the rest. You can even add your family pets to Bievo to track grooming and vet appointments! Bievo keeps every family member organized!

How do I upgrade to Premium?

Bievo has many great features from calendars to task lists to shopping lists.  Bievo Premium allows you to extend those great features to your whole family and so all of you have the tools you need to be organized. We love Bievo Premium and that’s why we offer all new Bievo users the Premium features free for 30 days. After 30 days, you can upgrade through the app store or by clicking here.

Getting Started

How do I add an event to my calendar?

add-event-screen-whiteIt’s simple to add events to your Bievo Family Organizer. And with Bievo Premium, you can choose with whom within your family, you may wish to share these events.

  1. Click the Calendar Icon
  2. Click the green-plus-sign button
  3. Populate the pop-up form and click save to complete the process.

How do I add a Family Member?

It’s simple to invite your family members to use the Bievo Family Organizer. You can add family members yourself or have Bievo send an email invitation to their inbox.

  1. Click the Family Icon
  2. Click the green-plus-sign button
  3. Choose to Add or Invite a family member, populate the pop-up form and click save to complete the process.  if you chose to Invite a Family Member by email, they will automatically appear in your Bievo family once they accept your invitation.

How do I share calendars?

Bievo’s calendar sharing feature let’s you share selected events with another Bievo user.

To use this feature on the Desktop:

  1. Click on the Calendar icon at the top of the screen to access your Bievo Calendar.
  2. Click Communicate from the top toolbar, then click Share a Calendar.
  3. Enter the email address of the person with whom you would like to share your calendar, then click Next.
  4. Select which events you would like to share with this person by checking the boxes next to each of your Bievo calendars.
  5. Click Share to share your events and return to the main screen. Your events will be added to the Bievo calendar of the person you designated for calendar sharing. If they are not yet a Bievo user, we will send them an email with instructions to register for an account so that they can access your shared calendar.

A Couple of Great Uses for Calendar Sharing

Bievo’s calendar sharing feature is a great tool for helping you organize your busy family. For example:

  • Share some events with just your spouse. There are some events that you may want to share only with your spouse, but not your children. For example, you may want your spouse to see your work calendar so you can both plan around those last minute, early morning meetings. Instead of adding your work schedule to the family calendar, you can simply share your work schedule with just your spouse. You and your spouse can stay on the same page, without overwhelming your family calendar with too much information.
  • Share your children’s calendars with their grandparents. Grandparents love to be involved and know about games and performances, but you don’t need to burden them with every detail of your busy lives. Instead, you can set them up, using Selective Permissions, and share sports schedules or concert schedules, without overloading them with every activity and appointment. 
  • Share your children’s calendars with caretakers, babysitters or a nanny. Set them up, using Selective Permissions, and you can control access to the calendars and information you want to share. 
How do I add my existing calendars to Bievo?

You can add your existing calendars to your Bievo account using your dekstop, tablet or phone. Choose the instructions for the device you are using below.

For iPhone:

Open your Bievo home screen and touch the Groups bar. Then touch the green plus sign and seclect Create Group. Key in a name for your calendar, like “Mom’s Work,”  and then select Other from the list of Categories.  Now open your iCal and touch Calendars at the bottom of your screen. Scroll down to the calendar you wish to add to your Bievo account and touch the red “i” icon. Scroll down to the Public Calendar bar and slide the button to turn it on. Touch Share Link… and touch the Copy icon. Return to Bievo and paste the link into the Internet Calendar Feed bar. Scroll down to the big, green bar and hit Save. Your iCal is now in sync with Bievo on all your devices and Bievo will update any time the schedule changes and send you a notification. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!

For Desktop or Tablet:

Open your Bievo Dashboard and click on the Main Menu on the upper right corner. Click on Account Settings and then choose Desktop Sync, under the Remote Calendars section. Choose the type of calendar you want to sync from the next screen and then follow the step-by-step instructions provided. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!

How do I add a task to my task list?

It’s simple to add and assign tasks in your Bievo Family Organizer and set notifications so every family member is informed and able to help get stuff done.

  1. Click the Task Icon
  2. Click the green-plus-sign button
  3. Populate the pop-up form and click save to complete the process.
How do I add contacts?

It’s simple to add your key contacts to your Bievo Family Organizer, so you and your family have this vital information at your fingertips.
